The CW has released the official synopsis for The 100 season 3 premiere episode titled Wanheda: Part One, airing on 21 January at 9pm EST. The episode will pick up three months after the unfortunate massacre at Mount Weather in the season 2 finale.

The official synopsis reads as follows:

Three months have passed since the tragedy at Mount Weather and our heroes learn that a bounty has been put on Clarke's (Eliza Taylor) head. Unbeknownst to Clarke, a team led by Bellamy (Bob Morley) and Kane (Henry Ian Cusick) journeys deep into Grounder territory to save her. Meanwhile, Murphy (Richard Harmon) finds his way to the mansion and discovers a very different Jaha (Isaiah Washington) on a very different mission

In the episode, Bellamy Blake and Marcus Kane will learn about the bounty placed on Clarke's head and will lead a team to help save her from the Grounders. As fans know, Clarke left camp Jaha in the season 2 finale to embark on a solo journey to clear her conscience.

Singer/songwriter Shawn Mendes will guest star in the episode in a small cameo where he will be caught stealing by Raven and then agree to play a song to make up for it. Mendes will play his hit song Stitches in the episode.

Lindsey Morgan, who plays Raven, teased her role in The 100 season 3. Morgan told Buddy TV: "I feel in Season 3, we're going to have a chance to see what losing Finn really meant to Raven, what killing all those Grounders in Season 1 felt like to Raven, what losing Clarke now feels to Raven. And who she is now — losing her leg, being with Wick. There's so many changes in her world. I wouldn't say a new Raven, but a changed Raven as any human naturally would be after going through what she went through."

Season 3 is going to test Raven according to the actor. "I personally would love it if Raven got a break and didn't get hurt as much, but I think one of the best things about Raven is that she always rebuilding herself. She's not going to give up on herself. Season 3 is going to test her in a different way than any other season has, so hopefully she'll stay strong," Morgan teased.
