A 15 year old girl in the West Midlands has been arrested on suspicion of inciting religious hatred after allegedly burning a Koran and posting footage of the event on Facebook.

The girl, who has not been named, was released on bail last Friday, while a 14 year old boy who was arrested in connection with the incident was released on bail on Tuesday. The boy was accused of making threats on Facebook.

The news comes after six men, believed to be connected to the English Defence League, were arrested for inciting racial hatred after burning a Koran in September and posting footage on YouTube.

The Koran burned by the girl is reported to have been an English language version of the book.
