The pick of today's Premier League, Serie A, La Liga and Bundesliga football transfer rumours, news and gossip for 30 August, 2011. All the latest transfer rumours surrounding Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, Roma, Barcelona and Real Madrid will be covered here.

Today's rumours are 100 per cent guaranteed to expire at midnight tonight, and are not, absolutely not, re-hashed stories from the June/July IBTimes archives. Promises.

Straight down to business.

Arsenal have failed in their bid to sign German star Mario Goetze, after the player's Mr Ten Per Cent "revealed" the 19-year-old wants to stay at Dortmund for two more years. *Ahem* wage increase *cough cough*. Wenger could also miss out on Bolton's Gary Cahill after Tottenham "entered the race" for the highly-rated centre-back. The Gunners boss is also interested in Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda and Fenerbache left-back Andre Santos, all of which means you could be forgiven for thinking Arsene's not exactly taking his job seriously anymore.

Arsenal aren't the only team unlikely to sign a French midfielder before tomorrow's deadline: Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is cultivating his own sad-sack story as he prepares to miss out on Real Madrid's Lassana Diarra to Roma. Redknapp's hang-dog expression is likely to look a little longer come Wednesday evening, as chairman Daniel Levy weighs up Chelsea's latest £40m bid for dinky playmaker Luka Modric.

Talking of diminuative midfield scamps, Manchester United first-team coach Rene Meulensteen says the club could yet...*sigh*.... sign Wesley Sneijder from Inter Milan....Believe what you will. Meanwhile, down the East Lancs Road Liverpool are planning a bid for Everton full-back Seamus Coleman, apparently.

Serie A

In Turin, Juventus striker Amauri has confirmed he could join Paris Saint-Germain before Wednesday: "My agents told me there is something brewing with Paris Saint-Germain," he told L'Equipe - via ESPN Soccer. "It's pleasing, although Leonardo [PSG manager] hasn't called me yet."

Hamburg winger Eljero Elia could yet join Juve: "We are negotiating with Juventus about the player's transfer, but there is nothing new at this moment," Klaus Vink, the player's representative, told calciomercato.com. Meanwhile, the Old Lady have confirmed the loan signing of Paraguay international Marcelo Estigarribia from Deportivo Maldonado.

La Liga

Brazil playmaker Kaka has ruled out a move to Arsenal or Tottenham, telling reporters he is happy warming the bench at Real Madrid: "...I always said that I wanted to stay at Real Madrid. The rumours about a possible exit from Madrid are all lies."
