The pick of today's Premier League, Serie A, La Liga and Bundesliga football transfer rumours, news and gossip for 7 October, 2011. All the latest transfer rumours surrounding Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus, Roma, Barcelona and Real Madrid will be covered here.

Robin van Persie has put Manchester rivals City and United on "red alert" by hinting he could leave Arsenal next summer.

When questioned over his future Van Persie, who's current deal at the Emirates expires in 2013, said: "I do not know, I cannot predict the future."

"But I think the Premiership is still the best league in the world, it gives me everything I want.

"When I came to Arsenal we immediately beat City. But in recent years much has happened in England."

It's bad news all round for Gunners fans this morning after Mario Gotze's agent confirmed the Borussia Dortmund midfielder would be staying in Germany.

"We haven't had any contact with Inter, nor have we spoken to anyone in Spain, England or Germany itself," Volker Struth told Calcio Mercato.

"The player is very happy in Dortmund and has a contract until 2014. And he is very unlikely to change teams before that date."

Liverpool and Tottenham will join Arsenal in the "race" to sign Anderlecht midfielder Lucas Biglia in January, after the £6m-rated 25-year-old indicated he was ready to leave Belgium.

"I think I have ended my cycle at Anderlecht and I want to do something new," he told Het Nieuwsblad.

"The board know what I want to do. I know that playing for the Argentina national side means I get plenty of exposure and opens lots of doors."

Spurs midfielder Rafael van der Vaart could be in line for a shock January exit after boss Harry Redknapp admitted there was a problem with the Dutchman's attitude.

"Rafa is a terrific footballer. He has great skill. But if you're in the team and asked to do a job, really, you should just do it," said Redknapp.

"Rafa can't run back and chase the full-back. Against the better teams it is a problem."

Rounding out today's dirt: Russian side Terek Grozny are interested in Nicolas Anelka; Inter Milan are keen on taking Carlos Tevez to the San Siro in January; and Liverpool are scouting Dutch striker Luuk de Jong.
