Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie
Patsy and Eddy get up to some accidental murderous mischief in the first full-length Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie trailer Fox Searchlight Pictures

Ahead of the film's release in just a few months time, Fox Searchlight Pictures have revealed the first full-length trailer for Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie. Based on the hugely-popular 1990s BBC sitcom, Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley are reprising their roles once more as heavy-drinking, celebrity-chasing soul sisters in life Edina 'Eddy' Monsoon and Patsy Stone respectively.

Offering up more of an insight into the film's plot than we saw previously in the teaser trailer, the clip shows best pals Eddy and Patsy hijack a prestigious fashion event in attempt to sign British supermodel Kate Moss as one of Eddy's PR company clients. However, in their pursuit to get close to her at the party, they accidentally knock Moss off of a high ledge and into the Thames river, sending London and the world of showbiz into a frenzy.

Finding themselves suspects in a media storm, the pair flee to the lavish French Riviera "where everyone's a criminal" to lie low until everything's blown over. But soon, the drunken friends find themselves quite comfortable in the South Of France and try as best they can to stay living the luxury lifestyle.

The film certainly looks to be a star-studded affair with Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Gwendoline Christie, singer La Roux, model Lily Cole and designer Stella McCartney all appearing in the snippet. Serious A-Listers Rebel Wilson and Jon Hamm can also be spotted as well as actresses from the original series Julia Sawalha, Celia Imrie, June Whitfield, Kathy Burke and Jane Horrocks also showing up. Eagle-eyed watchers might even spot Lulu if they look close enough.

The cameos don't end there either, as earlier this week, Fox revealed the complete list of famous faces that are all set to crop up in the feature-length picture. The roster includes fashion designers Giles Deacon and Jean Paul Gaultier, models Lara Stone, Cara Delevingne and Daisy Lowe, music artists Tinie Tempah and Ella Eyre and television hosts Rylan Clark and Graham Norton. Dawn French, Nick Grimshaw, Perez Hilton and Harry Styles will also appear.

Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie is scheduled to reach UK cinemas on 1 July 2016, so you still have ample time to stock the alcohol cupboards with plenty of Bollinger before then.
