Adam Lallana is set to snub Manchester United for a move to Liverpool in the summer, according to the Daily Mail.

The England international has been in brilliant form this season for Southampton, scoring nine goals and assisting six and has made his way into the PFA Team of the Year for his consistency over the course of the season.

His performance has attracted interest from a lot of clubs with one among Liverpool, United and Chelsea believed to be favourites for his signature.

However, the Southampton captain has reportedly decided on Merseyside as his next destination where he will double his current £35,000-a-week salary.

The player is likely to play in the hole behind Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez, with Philippe Coutinho expected to be moved to the wings.

Rodgers is expected to start with an opening bid of £15m but with the player growing in reputation and Southampton expected to sell Luke Shaw, his price is likely to go up, especially if the player performs to his potential in the upcoming World Cup.

The 25-year-old is currently suffering from a calf problem which can see him miss out on the final two games of the league. However, the injury is not serious and is unlikely to hinder his chances for the trip in Brazil.

Meanwhile, the player has refused to rule out a move, stating that he will wait till the end of the summer to make a decision.

"I just want to enjoy my football. That's when I'm at my happiest, when I'm playing well. Playing in a great, youthful team like this I feel like one of the experienced players nowadays," Lallana said.

"I just want to concentrate on the last two games of the season and we'll sit down in the summer and see what happens," he added.
