She is an award-winning, record-breaking singer and now Adele has been named the Britain's Richest Young Musician.

The Someone Like You singer, who recently turned 26, has beaten of rivals including One Direction and Cheryl Cole to top the Sunday Times' list of the wealthiest musicians under 30.

She took the crown for the second year running with the help of her estimated £45m fortune.

Although it has been three years since she released her hugely successful album '21', she is still £15m richer that Calvin Harris who came second.

The Scottish DJ and producer, who is dating Rita Ora, appeared on the list for the first time this year after his fortune climbed to an estimated £30m.

Former Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole, who is preparing to make her return to the X Factor judging panel, may have slipped from second to third place, but her fortune has increased from £14m to £16m in just 12 months.

The five members of boyband One Direction share fourth place with a combined wealth of £70m.

Niall Horan, 20, Zayn Malik, 21, Liam Payne, 20, Harry Styles, 20, and Louis Tomlinson, 22 are now worth £14m each following a blockbuster 12 months.

The top ten is rounded off by Leona Lewis and Marcus Mumford from Mumford & Sons who both have £13million in the bank.

Stars including Jessie J, Florence Welch and Emeli Sande also make appearances on the female-dominated list.
