Adele on Tuesday night dedicated her Madison Square Garden Concert to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, saying: "I'm really, really sad", for the end of the Brangelina era. Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt on Monday (19 September), citing irreconcilable differences.

"Can we talk about the elephant in the room... that #Brangelina broke up," the Hello hit-maker told the audience midway through her concert at Madison Square Garden on 20 September, according to Entertainment Tonight.

"I mean, I don't like gossiping and private lives should be private, but it is an end of an era, so I'm dedicating the show tonight to them because honestly, I'm really, really sad. I don't know them at all, but I was shocked when I woke up this morning," the 28-year-old singer added.

Some fans immediately took to social media to share the songstress' emotional comments. "@adele is freaking about #brangelina on stage at msg this is TOO GOOD," one Twitter user wrote.

Another said, "Adele just dedicated tonight's show to Brangelina I'm crying."

Jolie and Pitt tied the knot in August 2014 in a private ceremony in south of France after meeting on the sets of their 2005 film Mr & Mrs Smith. The duo share six children between them including Maddox, 14, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, nine-year-old Shiloh, and seven-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.

The Tomb Raider actress was previously married to Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton, while Pitt previously was married to Friends star Jennifer Aniston.
