British pop star and multi-Grammy award winning singer Adele has been given an altogether too common a problem (for stars, that is) to deal with.

Apparently a French magazine - Public - has claimed to have laid their hands on a video allegedly showing the singer and her ex-boyfriend making out in the backseat of an automobile.

Needless to say, Adele was furious over the false claims and has hired the UK's premier legal firm for the stars - Schillings - to wreak her vengeance on the continental tabloid.

Her lawyers have been equally proactive and have quickly told the media the claim the tape features her is "100 percent false".

The magazine, which was released on Friday, alleges the footage was taken on a cell phone and shows the singer and an ex-boyfriend "in the backseat of her car".

"We are informed that the French magazine Public has today published images which it claims show our client in a sex tape. Our client has not appeared in a sex tape as claimed in the article. Our client does not appear in the photographs. Such claims are untrue and grossly defamatory. Our client is taking legal action in relation to this matter," Adele's lawyer was quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

To add more spice to the matter, French paparazzo Jean Claude Elfassi claims he has more information on the subject and will be posting it online soon.
