Adil Rashid has been included in England's 13-man squad for their opening Ashes test against Australia.

The Yorkshire leg spinner comes in despite being left out of the squad's recent team-bonding trip to Spain organised by new head coach Trever Bayliss.

The uncapped 27 year old joins Steven Finn, along with the full XI who featured in recent test matches against New Zealand.

Seamers Mark Footitt and Liam Plunkett miss out.

England begin their five-match series on Wednesday 8 July.
