Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has long and often been considered one of the most beautiful women in the world.

The actress, who recently gave birth to her first child - Aaradhya - a few months back, has now come out and acknowledged her own mother, Vrinda, as a role model. Aishwarya claims her mother is responsible for all of her success and has moulded her into the woman she is today.

"She is the nucleus of my existence; who has gently moulded me, shaped me, picked me up when I've been down, has faith in me and taught me to be the very best version of me that I can be," Aishwarya was quoted as saying by Yahoo.

The former Miss World beauty queen presented her mother with a "She's Worth It" award, at the 2012 L'oreal Paris Femina Awards. Meanwhile, Aishwarya herself was given the "Iconic Woman of Worth" award by L'Oreal, for whom she is also a brand ambassador.
