The Alber Elbaz fall/winter 2012-2013 women's ready-to-wear collection at the Paris Fashion Week is an important milestone for both the designer and the luxury label Lanvin as it celebrates Elbaz' 10 years at the helm of the French house.

To mark the occasion, Moroccan-born Israeli fashion designer who has worked at Lanvin since 2001 threw an anniversary party attended by stars and celebrities like actress Dita von Teese, designer Pharrell Williams, Hong Kong actress Maggie Cheung and Scotland's Tilda Swinton.

According to AFP, dressed in his trademark black suit and bow tie, Elbaz climbed on stage to sing the opening lines of the classic tune, "Que sera, sera". "This is a song for all those I love, and who helped me make my dream come true," he told an enraptured audience.

Lanvin displayed a spectacular show at the 2012 Paris Fashion Week with creations in bright shades and technical fabrics like neoprene.

From LBDs to creations in embroidered crystal motifs, the collection was all about glamour, elegance and sophistication.

Apart from this, the displays included black and white fur coats and two-toned wraps.

Elbaz was appointed artistic director of Lanvin in Paris in Oct.2011. His simple, feminine clothing, which has been compared to Lanvin's 1920s outfits, has been lauded by the fashion press. Included in his list of celebrity clients are names like Nicole, Kate, Chloé Sevigny and Sofia Coppola.
