The skies above north London will explode into a dazzling flashes of colour on Saturday night (6 November) when Alexandra Palace hosts its annual fireworks festival.

Organisers have sold 50,000 tickets – a sell out – with approximately half of the spectators coming from the borough of Haringey. Thousands of rockets will hurtle into the atmosphere during a 25-minute display set to a soundtrack of music hand-selected by display designer Brian Martial, of Fuse Fireworks.

But as tens of thousands enjoy the show, Martial will be sat in the bowels of Ally Pally in a temporary control room, igniting and overseeing the display from his laptop.

He invited IBTimes UK into his lair to explain how he planned this year's show.
