Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta has warned Alvaro Morata's suitors that the Spanish star wants to remain in Serie A, amid reports linking him with Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea. Marotta admits Real Madrid have the final word on the player's future, but says he will do everything in his power to keep him at Massimiliano Allegri's side next season.

Reports in Spain over recent months suggested that Los Blancos plan to activate Morata's €30m (£23.6m, $33.9m) buy-back option during the summer, solely so they can sell him to a Premier League side for an instant profit.

The Telegraph claimed last month that Arsene Wenger had earmarked the 23-year-old striker as the top target to lead his attacking line next year – having already attempted to sign the player two years ago, when he instead chose Juventus.

However, The Guardian reported last week that Morata would rather to move to Manchester United in a deal worth around £40m, especially if Jose Mourinho takes over from Louis van Gaal in the summer. The Portuguese boss handed Morata his first-team debut with Real Madrid during his time in La Liga.

Incoming Chelsea new boss Antonio Conte is also said to be keen on the striker, especially with the potential return of Diego Costa to Atletico Madrid.

Marotta, however, has warned the Premier League sides that the striker is keen to stay with La Vecchia Signora, and the club is doing its best to convince Real Madrid to fulfil their former player's wishes.

"Keeping Morata at the club is an important objective for us, but what happens at the Champions League final may have much to do with his future. We'll do all we can to fulfil his wishes to stay in Turin, where he feels he is at a club that is perfect for his career development," Marotta said, as quoted by AS.

"Morata's future doesn't solely depend on Juventus despite our desire for him to remain here, but the outcome of the conversations with Real Madrid will dictate his future."
