British boxer Amir Khan will wear 'the most expensive ever boxing shorts' for his bout with Devon Alexander in Las Vegas on Saturday.

The $50,000 (£32,000) shorts come with white napper leather, silk and gold thread stitching, were made by Sheffield company Fight Label ahead of Khan's welterweight showdown.

The 28-year-old said he was not looking beyond his 'difficult' bout with Alexander on Saturday, but acknowledged that the victor will be in a prime position to face the undefeated Mayweather in 2015.

Saturday's clash will be Khan's first fight since defeating veteran American Luis Collazo in his welterweight debut in May.
