Great Britain take on Australia in the semi-finals of the Davis Cup with Andy Murray and Dan Evans preparing to take on Bernard Tomic and Thanasi Kokkinakis respectively in the final two rubbers on Sunday 20 September.

Where to watch

Murray v Tomic will be available to watch live on BBC Two from 1pm (BST) with live coverage also available via the BBC Sport website.

Preview

After the Murray brothers claimed a stunning doubles victory over Lleyton Hewitt and Sam Groth, younger sibling Andy has the chance to put Great Britain into a first Davis Cup final since 1978 with victory over Bernard Tomic. A win in the fourth rubber would give the hosts an unassailable 3-1 lead and set up a November final against either Belgium or Argentina.

The good news for British fans is Murray, unbeaten in Davis Cup singles competition in 2015, has a 100% record over Tomic, who he has beaten in both of their career meetings in Miami and Brisbane. Having been recalled to this Australia team after his comments regarding the governing body, this could be Tomic's chance to complete his road to redemption.

Victory over a tricky opponent in Dan Evans saw Tomic produce some of his best tennis and though he must improve further to keep with two-time major champion Murray the British number one could yet be leg-weary after two matches in as many days. The 28-year-old has been exposed to over five hours of tennis during the tie and how he physically deals with a third match in as many days is yet to be seen.

Murray has a reputation as one of the most resolute players on tour but should another physical and emotional battle ensue then the metal of the Brit will be truely tested. Should Tomic be able to take a set off Murray, something he has never done in either of their best of three sets encounters, then it could work to highlight any jadedness.
