Overview

World number two Andy Murray seems to make life tough for himself on the court when facing opponents who are unpredictable. This was seen during his game against Kyle Edmund where Murray struggled at times, especially when dealing with Edmund's powerful forehand shots.

The Brit broke Murray's serve three times during the match to take the second set, but his fellow countryman was too strong for him overall fighting back to eventually win the tie 6-4, 3-6, 6-1. The Scot looks like he is playing in third gear and will need to go a notch or two above his current status if he has to reach the finals of the Aegon Championships.

Marin Cilic

His opponent Marin Cilic has to be the least talked about Grand Slam champion of recent years but to be fair the Croatian has struggled on court since winning his maiden US Open in 2014. 2016 has not been a very good year for the world number 13 who has yet to make his presence felt at major tennis events.

Cilic won the Aegon title in 2012 but it is unlikely he will topple the current world number two on 18 June.
