Apple iPhone 6 and the larger iPhone 6 Plus, dubbed as the Cupertino-based company's creative flagship, are now available for purchase in unlocked variants across the United States of America.

With SIM-free iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphone units reaching the US, customers of these devices can use their handsets without having to subscribe to carrier-exclusive contracts both in the US as well as overseas.

Pricing details of the unlocked Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

According to an Apple official listing, people can own the SIM-free iPhone 6 by paying a one-time amount of $649 (£429), whereas the carrier-unlocked iPhone 6 Plus costs $100 more, and is priced at $749 (£529).

The above prices are applicable to the 16GB internal storage variant of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

64GB variants (unlocked) of both the smartphones cost $100 more, while the 128GB version requires buyers to shell out $200 extra on the base price ($649, £429) of the latest iPhone handsets.
