Following several rounds of beta testing to provide a seamless user experience without any lag, Apple has made the final version of OS X 10.11.4 available for users. The update resolves a bunch of issues along with improving the stability, compatibility and security of Mac.

One of the notable features in this release is the ability to share Live Photos between iOS and OS X through AirDrop or messages. In addition to that, you can now protect the note-taking app with passcode to avoid your private data being viewed by others. The update also enhances the compatibility of USB-C multiport adapters. Adds the ability to passcode-protect notes containing personal data in Notes
Adds the ability to sort notes alphabetically, by date created, or date modified in Notes
Adds the ability to import Evernote files into Notes
Adds support for sharing Live Photos between iOS and OS X via AirDrop and Messages

Adds the ability for iBooks to store PDFs in iCloud, making them available across all your devices
Fixes an issue that prevented loading Twitter t.co links in Safari

Fixes an issue that prevented the VIPs mailbox from working with Gmail accounts
Fixes an issue that caused USB audio devices to disconnect

How to update

Head over to Mac App Store and use Search in the upper-right corner of the window to find the software update. If you don't have App Store, choose Software Update from Apple menu, then follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the update.
