Technology giant Apple has reached a deal to sell its latest smartphones, the iPhone 5s and 5c, on China Mobile, the world biggest phone network from January 17, 2014.

China Mobile's expansive network has more than 750m subscribers, with analysts predicting a major boost in sales of between 10 and 25 million over the next year.

Apple and China Mobile said in a statement that they were "excited" to finally be working together. Previously, China Mobile users could not use all of the iPhone's functions as they did not have access to its 3G and 4G networks.

Apple has previously struggled to break in to the Chinese market, which has been dominated in recent years by cheaper smartphone offerings from the likes of ZTE, Samsung and Huawei.
