Apple Watch will be available from Target stores starting this week Reuters

Target has announced that the Apple Watch will be available for purchase through its stores starting this week. The US-based retailer has become the second third-party marketplace for the Apple Watch after by Best Buy.

All Target stores will get the stock by October 25 and customers will also be able to opt for online purchase through Target's site beginning October 18. Target says in a press statement that it will offer 20 different models of the Apple Watch in both 38mm and 42mm sizes. However, select models and brands will be available through all Target stores in the country, while "expanded assortment" of the Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch models will be exclusively available through Target's site.

The retailer has confirmed that the Apple Watch will be in a price range of $349 and $599. This means that the premium Apple Watch Edition will not be listed, though its aluminium and stainless steel models will be available in Space Gray and Rose Gold colour options.

The announcement shows that Apple is all set to boost the sales of the watch this holiday season. It has already shipped over 3.6 million units of the watch and is aiming to take on Android Wear-based smartwatches in the coming future.
