A woman allegedly shot and killed the driver of a car after a collision, causing the victim to lose control of her car and crash into a third vehicle, injuring five people including a pregnant woman. Police said a suspect in the case had been taken into custody.

Tempe Police Department in Arizona said that the cars collided at an intersection just after 3pm local time. The police statement continued to say that one of the drivers got out of her vehicle and shot at the other driver, fatally injuring her and causing her to lose control of the vehicle she was driving and crash into a third car carrying a family of five.

The five injured include a pregnant woman and three children. Their injuries are non-life threatening, said police.
