Kicking off the transfer rumours this morning are the Sun who claim that Arsenal must pay £23m for Valencia star Juan Mata. Reports yesterday suggested that Arsenal would be prepared to offer £18m for the player but Valencia have said that offer would be rejected straight away. The newspaper reports that Arsenal may increase their offer in a bid to land the Spanish international but will want Valencia to meet them somewhere around the £20m mark. Mata, who signed a new four year deal in January, will not be sold unless any club meets Valencia's valuation of the player a club spokesperson said

The Guardian run with an exclusive over the future of Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas. The Arsenal player is said to be craving move to Barcelona this summer and the newspaper claims that Arsenal are now ready to do business with the European champions. The paper claims that Barcelona are set to offer an improved £35m bid which should tempt the London club to sell. Arsenal are said to be open to letting Fabregas leave this summer but want a fair price for their skipper and have demanded Barcelona increase their offer for the player. Fabregas is said to want the situation resolved before he is due to return to Arsenal for preseason training, with a deal likely to happen in the next two weeks.

The Daily Mail has suggested that Harry Redknapp is ready to rival Arsenal in their pursuit of Bolton's Gary Cahill. The newspaper reveals that Redknapp is ready to offer the club four players in order to seal a deal for the defender. The newspaper has said that Sebastien Bassong, Jermaine Jenas, Robbie Keane and Alan Hutton could all be used as bait to tempt Bolton to sell their prized asset. It was thought Arsenal was leading the race for Cahill but such a bid from Spurs could tempt Bolton to go with Redknapp's offer.

Sticking with Tottenham, the Sun newspaper claims that Tottenham are set to step up their interest in German defender Serdar Tasci. The Stuttgart defender was the subject of a failed transfer attempt from Tottenham last year but after a disappointing twelfth placed finish, the newspaper claims that Tasci will now be looking for a move with Tottenham is preferred location.

The Mirror has revealed that Liverpool is winning in their pursuit of Blackpool skipper Charlie Adam. Speculation has been rife all summer about a deal that would bring the Scot to Anfield and it now seems that the two clubs have struck a deal. Liverpool are not prepared to pay the £12m asking price for Adam but will instead offer around £8m plus Jonjo Shelvey and Stephen Darby on loan for the season.

Sunderland has agreed a £13m fee with Ipswich to land England under-21 star Conor Wickham. The Mirror exclusively reveal that Steve Bruce made the offer last night and it was immediately accepted which has paved the way for Wickham to begin talks with Sunderland. The club have offered a vast sum of money to blow Liverpool out of the water and the newspaper suggests that Dalglish is not willing to pay such a high price for a player who hasn't played in the Premier League before.

The Daily Star has claimed that Chelsea are preparing a £35 raid for Alexis Sanchez. With any potential deal between the player and Barcelona stalling, Chelsea now see the opportunity to land the winger. New boss Andre Villas-Boas has pinpointed Sanchez as the man to build his new free flowing approach around and the new Chelsea boss is keen to land the Chilean winger from under the noses of both Barcelona and Manchester City.

AC Milan are said to have intensified their efforts to sign Napoli playmaker, Marek Hamsik. The midfielder has revealed that he has no intention of leaving Italy and is looking to move to the Italian champions. The 23 year old has expressed serious interest in wanting join AC Milan and the two clubs have reportedly sat down to discuss a potential transfer fee.

According to reports in France and Spain, Raphael Varane has travelled to Madrid to complete his medical before signing a five year deal with Real Madrid.

German newspaper Bild has claimed Bayern Munich is set to enter the transfer market to sign Inter Milan defender Lucdio and Manchester United winger Nani.
