Arsene Wenger, Brendan Rodgers and Roberto Mancini are all confident of signing a few more players each before the transfer window closes on 31 August.

The Gunners have already added the attacking trio of Lukas Podolski, Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla to their ranks this summer. However, having seen his side fail to score for the second game in succession - this time at Stoke City - the French tactician revealed, as he claimed earlier, he was still active in the transfer market.

"I'm pleased with what we've done but I anticipate we will do something and we are still on the market. It depends on the quality of players who are available. If we can find somebody who can strengthen our squad with the quality we want we will do it in any position," Sky Sports quoted Wenger as saying

Meanwhile, after the 2-2 draw between Liverpool and Manchester City at Anfield, both Rodgers and Mancini emphasised the need for reinforcements ahead of the transfer deadline.

The Reds have signed Fabio Borini, Joe Allen and Oussama Assaidi and loaned Real Madrid playmaker Nuri Sahin so far this summer but Rodgers wants more acquisitions.

"I would hope we could get some more players in. The players just need help. We lost players in the summer and we were only able to bring in a few to replace those. If we're going to strengthen, then hopefully we can get a few more in," the club's Web site quoted the Northern Irishman as saying.

Mancini, on the other hand, has had a quieter transfer window, by City's standards. The defending champions have only signed Jack Rodwell from Everton so far this term and although they look likely to add Swansea City winger Scott Sinclair after reportedly agreeing a deal, the Italian is hopeful of completing a few more transactions.

"We are working [on it]. I think that we are working well and we have five days now and I am sure that we will do something about some new players," talkSPORT quoted Mancini as saying.

Meanwhile, Sir Alex Ferguson has declared Manchester United will not be doing any more business this transfer window.

The Scot has snapped up Arsenal striker Robin van Persie, Borussia Dortmund playmaker Shinji Kagawa and youngsters Nick Powell, Alexander Buttner and Angelo Henriquez this summer and the manager has ruled out more signings.

"We definitely won't be buying anyone else. There is no movement about anyone going the other way," ESPN quoted Ferguson as confirming.

Clubs have till midnight on 31 August to complete summer signings.
