Arsenal and Manchester United have been encouraged in their pursuit of signing Real Sociedad forward Antoine Griezmann.

The 23-year-old has been strongly linked with a move away from the Spanish club with interest from England and Europe in landing him in the summer.

The Gunners are believed to be keen on acquiring the services of the French international as he is their top transfer target, with United also believed to be in the race for the forward.

Griezmann has revealed that he is flattered with the rumours linking him with a move to top clubs in Europe.

However, the forward says he is focusing on finishing the season with Sociedad and hinted he will decide over his future in the summer.

"I want to finish my season with Real [Sociedad] - to try to get a good place in the league to get into Europe. When a big club is interested in you it's always nice. But I'm thinking about my club and after that we'll see what can happen," Griezmann explained.

Earlier, reports suggested Paris Saint-Germain had a verbal agreement in place to signing the French forward. However, Griezmann has put those rumours to bed and stressed there has been no contact or agreement with the Ligue 1 champions over potential summer transfer.

"I have no idea about it. I've read articles which said that I'd said yes to PSG but there's been no contact and no agreement," the Sociedad star added.

With Griezmann's latest comments, it has now left the door open to Arsenal and United in making an approach for the services of the £25m-rated forward.

Arsene Wenger has admitted the north London club are following Griezmann closely. "Yes, we follow him in great detail. That should not come as a surprise because he attracts other clubs as well. But we follow him, he is a known commodity," Wenger explained.

Meanwhile, United scout David Friio earlier revealed the Old Trafford club are also interested in signing the French star in the upcoming transfer window.

Griezmann has scored 16 goals and managed three assists in 32 league appearances this season.
