Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City are closely monitoring James Rodriguez's situation ahead of the summer transfer window as the Colombian international is likely leave Real Madrid at the end of the season, according to AS. However, the Spanish publication claims that the La Liga giants would not facilitate his departure at any price as both president Florentino Perez and Zinedine Zidane want to keep him and help him to rediscover his best form.

The 24-year-old playmaker enjoyed an impressive debut campaign at the Santiago Bernabeu under Carlo Ancelotti following his €80m (£63m, $90.8m) move from Monaco in the summer of 2014. The Colombian international, who had been one of the revelations of World Cup 2014, arrived at Los Blancos to fill the void left by the departure of Angel Di Maria to Real Madrid and consolidate expectations from his debut season after netting 17 goals and providing 18 assists in 46 appearances.

But James has failed to find that consistency in his second season in La Liga both under former manager Rafa Benitez and incumbent Zidane. He has only started 17 La Liga games this term and a further three in the Champions League, scoring eight goals and setting up 10 assists in the process.

James has been overlooked by Zidane in recent big fixtures, like the Champions League double header against Manchester City or in the El Clasico victory over Barcelona in La Liga, having fallen behind in the pecking order.

AS claims in its front cover that the Colombian was unhappy with his lack of playing opportunities and "is looking to leave the club" at the end of the season. The report claims that the former Monaco and Porto star has called a meeting with club directors after the Champions League final on 28th May to discuss his exit.

The Spanish publication claims that despite his dip in form Arsenal, Manchester United and City would be ready to pay €80m to lure him to the Premier League and allow Real Madrid to recoup their outlay to Monaco just two seasons ago.

Questioned about the reports in the press conference ahead of the final La Liga trip to Deportivo de la Coruna, Zidane replied: "I have 23 world-class players and in the end I have to take decisions. You always talk about James or Isco. But that is life in a group of 23 players. I want a lot from James as a player and a person, the same as with everyone, but I have to choose eleven. I am happy with what he is doing and I'm not going to ask for more because he delivers and gives everything every time he plays. This means he is a professional".
