Arsenal are preparing a move in signing Manchester United midfield targets Cesc Fabregas and Antoine Griezmann, according to the Express.

The Barcelona midfielder has long been linked with a move to Old Trafford and United have rekindled their interest in signing him. Meanwhile, Real Sociedad star is also on the Red Devils's radar as they are looking to land him to strengthen their attacking division.

The report claims the Gunners are preparing an audacious £60m bid in bringing both Fabregas and Griezmann to the Emirates in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal have handed Arsene Wenger a £100m transfer kitty to bolster the squad in order to mount a challenge for the title next season. The Frenchman is set to spend more than half of the transfer funds in signing the La Liga duo as he looks to strengthen his side.

Wenger is aware that Barcelona are looking to offload Fabregas as they are trying to raise funds from the sale of the former Arsenal man. The Spain international has realised that he has no future at the club and he now wants to return to the Premier League.

Barcelona's incoming manager Luis Enrique has made no efforts in trying to put the recent speculation surrounding Fabregas's future to bed. The former Real Madrid midfielder was coy when asked about the Spaniard's future at the club.

Meanwhile, Wenger has long been an admirer of Griezmann after he impressed for Sociedad during the 2013/14 season. The 23-year-old was one of the standout players for the La Liga outfit scoring16 goals from 32 league appearances.

The Gunners boss has publicly expressed his admiration for the France international, while confirming Arsenal's interest in signing Griezmann.

"We are following him [Griezmann] in great detail. He attracts other clubs as well but we follow him, he is a known commodity," Wenger said earlier this season.

Should the report be true, the addition of Fabregas and Griezmann in the coming transfer window will see them spend over half of their budget on these two players. This will leave them less than £50m in bringing in a striker which is likely to be a priority at the Emirates in the summer transfer window.
