Arsenal pre-season 2016 schedule: Fixtures, where to watch live, date and time

Arsenal play five matches during their pre-season tour including a clash against Manchester City in Sweden.

Arsenal begin their pre-season tour in France with a match against Ligue 2 side RC Lens following which they head to the United States for games against the MLS All Stars and Chivas de Guadalajara. After they return from the US, they will travel to Norway to face Viking FC following which they will take on Manchester City at Gotenburg in their final pre-season fixture before returning to north London for the start of the 2016/17 Premier League season.

Arsene Wenger has added one player to the senior squad in the form of Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach and the Switzerland international is expected to return to the squad for the pre-season games and could be involved in the trip across the Atlantic. The Gunners are in the market for a striker and the French manager will be keen to conclude his transfer business before heading out for pre-season.

Laurent Koscielny, Olivier Giroud, Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil will be unavailable for the pre-season tour owing to their participation at Euro 2016, while Alexis Sanchez is also likely to miss out owing to injury. A number of youth-team players are likely to be given an opportunity to travel and train with the first-team in the hope of making the squad for the pre-season games.
