Marseille defender Nicolas N'Koulou has insisted he is happy at his current club, as Arsenal continue to be connected to the star by numerous news outlets.

N'Koulou admitted to being flattered to be linked with the Gunners in the past, with the 22 year old telling reporters last November: "I am flattered by clubs linked with me but, to be honest, I love being with this club.

"But once you are linked with clubs such as Arsenal and others, you take notice and it can make you lose your head.

"But I am calm and want to win trophies here and maybe one day I will move to one of the bigger clubs in the world."

Nicolas N'Koulou is a target for Arsenal, but can he be tempted into leaving Marseille?

And while at the end of last year he left the door open to a possible move to the likes of Arsenal, now the Cameroon international insists he is fully committed to his Ligue 1 club.

"I remain a Marseille player," he told France Football, via Sky Sports.

"A lot of things can still happen before the end of the season but I won't get concerned with that yet."

Arsenal will no doubt be connected with a string of defenders this summer, as the side look to rebuild and end their now seven year-long trophyless drought.

The club are known for having a shaky back four, and summer signings Per Mertesacker and Andre Santos have so far failed to fully settle into the Gunners squad.

With that in mind, O'Koulou would provide good support and create more depth in the squad, and with the former Monaco man being tipped to receive the honours of Marseille's player of the year, Arsenal may be keen to turn his head come summer.
