Jeff Garlin, an American actor, comedian and voice artist, and his wife have purchased a vintage six-room condominium unit on the Gold Coast for $591,700.

According to Chicago Tribune, Garlin closed the deal on Dec. 22. Initially, he went to contract to buy it on Nov. 11, at which point the home was listed for $649,500 after six price reductions from initial asking price of $826,000 in 2009.

The three-bedroom condo, located in a building, was constructed in 1916.

The condo has two full baths, 9-foot ceilings, oak floors, a balcony and a kitchen with white cabinets, stainless steel appliances, a Sub-Zero refrigerator, a Bosch dishwasher, a radiant cooktop, granite countertops and a Thermador double oven.

"It's a place for them to enjoy Chicago in the summer," Chicago Tribune quoted Mark Cahan, real estate lawyer, who represented the Garlins in their purchase, as saying.
