Before our honeymoon was over, my eyes were opened," Taylor was quoted as describing her relationship with Hilton.
She added, "The honeymoon in Europe lasted two weeks," Taylor wrote in a 1965 memoir. "I should say the marriage lasted for two weeks. Then came, yours sincerely, disillusionment — rude and brutal."
They got divorced on February 1, 1951.

The legendary actress described her life with Wilding as simple and quiet until the storm that came after and their differences could not longer weather the storm and they filed for divorce after five years. They got divorced on January 30, 1957.
"Michael Wilding was a wonderful man and I loved him dearly. Our friendship continued until his death several years ago, but in the `50s the strains on our marriage were too much for it to survive. We were so very different," Taylor described Wilding, said AP.

He was a dynamic producer of Broadway girlie shows and Todd was promoting the big-screen Cinerama and an all-star film of "Around the World in 80 Days" when they met in 1957.
"He was 25 years my senior and eternally young. I could hardly keep up with him. He was the most energetic man I've ever known and he made our short 18 months together one of the most intensely glorious times of my life. ... I have had two great loves in my life. Mike Todd was the first," Taylor said of Todd, according to AP.

"He and Mike had been good friends and it seemed natural we should try to comfort each other for our loss. ... In hindsight, I know I wasn't thinking straight. At the time I thought he needed me and I needed him," Taylor described how she fell in love with Fisher, said AP.
The legendary actress was painted a 'homewrecker' when Eddie left Debbie for her. And the actress was quick to defend herself and said: "The press made much of Eddie's leaving his wife, Debbie Reynolds, but Eddie and Debbie's marriage was in trouble long before I hit the scene."

Richard Burton is an actor from Wales and Elizabeth's fifth husband for her fifth and sixth marriage. The two met at the set of "Cleopatra" in 1964 and tied the knot after divorces from spouses on March 15, 1964.
"Has anybody ever told you that you're a very pretty girl?" said the hard-living actor from Wales. Her reaction: "Here's the great lover, the great wit, the great intellectual of Wales, and he comes out with a line like that!"
The world said AP watched Taylor's every move with Burton and they were under close media scrutiny while they were processiing both their divorces before they got married.
The "Cleopatra" co-stars were together for ten years before they first divorced on June 26, 1974. They remarried six months after, on October 10, 1975 until they finalized their second divorce on August 1, 1976.
"Since I was a little girl, I believed I was a child of destiny, and if that is true Richard Burton was surely my fate. Certainly for a very long time he was my life. She said, "Being a senator's wife is not easy. It's very lonely. I wouldn't wish it on anyone."
But the Dame said AP played a major role in Warner's election to office as she helped him campaign for the U.S. Senate in 1978. They stayed together until their divorce in 1982.
"Our first year of marriage had been spent on the intimate, challenging high of campaigning together for one goal — his winning the Senate seat. I cannot tell you how happy and proud I was of him ... yes, and of myself."
