The Mozilla Firefox 5 is touted as the first browser to support “Do No Track” on multiple platforms. The Browser was released on June 21.
The feature is now easily accessible through: Options – Privacy– Tell web sites I do not want to be tracked.
It gives “users more control over the way their browsing behavior is tracked and used on the Web” and “lets users tell websites that they wish to opt-out of online behavioral tracking,” said Firefox.
Moreover, the Mozilla Firefox 5 now supports CSS Animations standards. CSS Animations is a relatively new standard that not all browsers adopted.
For example, the animation on this website runs on Firefox 5 and the current release of Google Chrome. It doesn’t run on IE 9 and Opera 11.
The new Firefox is also faster, more stable, more secure, and uses less memory than the previous version.
In all, Mozilla said it made over 1,000 improvement and performance enhancements. As before, it remains a developer-friendly browser.
