A British actress who appeared in Spider-Man 3 is believed to have committed suicide after being found dead in her flat in Paris.
Lucy Gordon, who played a journalist in the 2007 Spider-Man film, was only two days away from her 29th birthday.
She is due to appear in Serge Gainsbourg: A Heroic Life by Joann Sfar, due out next year. Gordon played the role of Jane Birkin, who had a relationship with French singer Serge Gainsbourg.
The cause of death has not yet been confirmed, however an autopsy is expected to be performed.
Richard Gordon, her father, said, "We have always been immensely proud of her and her achievements. We love her so much," reports the BBC.
"She was called Lucy and she has lived up to that. She has been the light of our lives... She was a lovely, generous, unselfish person who gave her all for others and thought of others before herself."
"She has been the most beautiful daughter. We are obviously devastated," he added. "It has come as a complete shock to us all."
Lucy Gordon had spent much of her childhood in France and had recently moved to Paris after living in New York.
