The funeral of Michael Jackson is to be held next Tuesday at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, according to American media reports.
The stadium is the home of the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team and is owned by AEG Live, the group promoting the singer's final "This Is It" tour which was scheduled to be held at the O2 in London.
It has also been reported that AEG will broadcast the service on large screens outside the Centre for those who cannot get inside the centre, which can accommodate 20,000 people.
It was previously believed that Jackson might be buried at his Neverland ranch and that the location might become a tourist attraction similar to Elvis' Graceland in a move which could have helped pay off the singer's debts. However the burial at the site may have been illegal.
