Jaguar revealed its all new Jaguar XJ model at the Saatchi gallery in London yesterday. The opening of the flagship Jaguar XJ model was hosted by Jay Leno, a renowned car enthusiast himself.


The new model's price starts at £52,500 for the standard wheelbase 3.0-litre V6 diesel luxury and will be available from early 2010.
The car was designed by a team led by Ian Callum, Design Director, Jaguar Cars.
Callum said: "The new XJ is a thoroughly modern interpretation of the quintessential Jaguar. Its visual impact stems from the elongated teardrop shape of the car's side windows, that powerful stance and its wide track. It is the most emphatic statement yet of Jaguar's new design direction."

Jaguar's acclaimed new ultra-efficient Gen III petrol and diesel engines will be available in the XJ.
The Jaguar is powered by the new ultra-efficient petrol and diesel engines. The available engine options are the 3.0-litre V6 diesel, 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8 and 5.0-litre supercharged V.
The XJ is expected to provide excellent fuel economy and emissions. The diesel-powered XJ returning combined economy figures of 40.1mpg and CO2 emissions of 184g/km.
The Jaguar XJ includes features such as air suspension, Adaptive Dynamics (continuously variable damping), Active Differential Control and quick-ratio power steering.
The luxurious car is packed with advanced features inside. The car has an 8 inch touch screen that can be used to view DVD movies or TV programmes to the passengers. The driver can use the display to view sat nav or car functions.
