Vodafone to release Android powered HTC Tattoo in October

Vodafone has announced that it will provide HTC Tattoo phones from October onwards. The phone, manufactured by Taiwan's HTC Corp, will feature Google’s Android platform.

The HTC Tattoo is an entry level smart phone and will feature a 3.2 inch touch screen which will be powered by HTC’s Sense user interface technology.

The device has a Qualcomm MSM7225, 528 MHz processor and 256 RAM. It weights about 113 grams with the battery and supports a resolution of 240x320.

Connectivity wise, the device is HSDPA enabled and therefore can connect to the mobile broadband allowing fast internet connectivity. The HTC Tattoo has both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g). The phone boasts a 3.2 mega pixel camera with autofocus without flash.

HTC’s CEO, Peter Chou believes the HTC Sense will provide users with a personalised mobile experience.

"Everyone wants their own phone to feel like it was specifically made for them. The Tattoo, with HTC Sense represents an easy way to shape your own distinct mobile experience and really make it your own," said Chou in a statement.

The price is not available as of yet on Vodofone’s website, but interested parties can register with Vodafone for updates.
