Soft drinks group A.G. Barr is boosting capacity at its Cumbernauld site and closing the Mansfield factory.
The firm said it planned to invest 8m-10m over the next 12 months to increase capacity at the Cumbernauld site.
This would create operating capacity at the Cumbernauld site that would absorb all current PET packaged products from the Mansfield factory and allow for forecast future growth.
The firm said it had started a consultation process with employees with a view to closing the Mansfield site in early 2011 and the commencement of outsourced logistics activity during the course of 2010.
There are currently 98 people employed across production and logistics at the Mansfield site and in addition a small number of further employees would be affected by the proposals.
