Miner dies at Harmony's Merriespruit 3 shaft

A miner has died after a tramming accident at Harmony Gold Mining's Merriespruit 3 shaft - part of the Virginia Operations in the Free State.

Management together with the Department of Mineral Resources have begun investigations into the cause of the accident.

Harmony's chief executive Graham Briggs and his management team expressed their sincere condolences to the family of the deceased.
