Operating costs for the six months to the end of September have increased due to a much larger sales department in UK and increased manufacturing and sales departments in US with a current total employee count of 47 (compared to an average of 38 in 2008) as well as the development of new products in the LED lighting space.

The increase in sales during the period resulted in an operating profit of £10,000 (2008: loss of £77,000).

The firm had cash and cash equivalents of £211,000 - up from £50,000 in 2008.
