30 November 2009 @ 01:20 pm BST

First half pre-tax losses at Transdermal Cosmetics fell to £275,000 from £404,000 last time.

The operating loss for the six months to the end of August narrowed to £285,000 from £336,000 a year ago.

TDC focuses on the production, distribution and commercialisation of cosmetics produced using a proprietary technology, called Soma ZoneTM.

This facilitates the delivery of a variety of cosmetic substances such as collagen and elastin, which have high density molecular weights, into the skin without the use of needles or causing skin inflammation.

The first product to be launched, Entre Derm which is an anti-ageing cream, has undergone a clinical trial in the US with the results verified by a leading US doctor.

The company remains pre-revenue, although it expects to record its first sales before the end of February 2010.
