ECO Animal Health has taken full control of Ecopharma after buying the 80% of the firm's shares which ECO did not already own.
The consideration of Yen180m (£1.23m) has been satisfied in full from the group's cash resources.
This acquisition strengthens ECO's position in the Japanese market where Tokyo-based Ecopharma is a major distributor of pharmaceutical products for animals including Aivlosin, ECO's patented macrolide antibiotic.
