According to the Sun, an iPhone application has helped a glasgow woman give birth plotting her 'menstrual calendar' that tells her when she is most fertile.
"Doctors couldn't find any reason why we hadn't been able to get pregnant," Lena told the tabloid newspaper.
"When Dudley gave me the iPhone for my 30th, I typed in 'get pregnant' and downloaeded five apps" she said.
The Free Menstrual Calendar which she downloaded is actually a statistical analysis that uses information about her menstrual symptoms to display her most fertile days during her cycle.
Dr Heather Bromberg, one of the authors of the 'app'
said regarding the pregnancy "I'm delighted".
A variety of apps helping woman plan their calendar more closely with menstruation are on the iPhone, most recently 'PMS Buddy' which not only allows woman to track their menstrual cycles, but men too!
"Women don’t appreciate it when you come home and maybe things are a little tense and the man says ‘Hey, do you have PMS?" said Jordan Eisenberger, founder and chief of the 'PMS Buddy' app which is not yet released.
"Wouldn't it be funny to automate it (PMS) and make it available to the masses" said Eisenberg rather daringly.
