Shares in BP were up over one per cent on the FTSE 100 ahead of a strategy presentation and following the appointment of Ian Davis as a new non-executive director.
BP said today that Mr Davis would take his position as a non-executive director on 2 April this year.
Mr Davis was Chairman of McKinsey & Company between 2003 and 2009. He has worked at the company since 1979 and will retire in July this year.
