Pharmaceutical firm Alliance Pharma has completed the transfer of a distribution agreement with Biovail Laboratories for the drug tetrabenazine.
This is part of the 18 prescription products Alliance Pharma acquired from Cambridge Laboratories in February.
The drug - which is marketed under the Xenazine and Nitoman brand names - is approved for use in the UK and Ireland in connection with chorea associated with Huntington's Disease, tardive dyskinesia and certain other indications.
It said the distribution agreement had now been executed and the benefit transferred to Alliance and, as a consequence, £1.5m of deferred consideration would now be paid to the vendors.
