Pre-tax profits at Advanced Power Components jumped by 62.8% to £402,000 in the year to the end of August.
Revenues rose by 7.5% to £14.4m and the order book increased to £4.5m - up from £3.8m last time - while net debt fell to £1.2m from £1.7m
Chairman Will David said: "During the year the group has continued to make progress in both our core distribution business and in the development of green technology products which currently offer the most exciting opportunities for our business.
"However, the deteriorating economic conditions clearly present a challenging backdrop to the Group's activities and despite entering the year with a very healthy order backlog, any prolonged downturn may affect our ability to sustain the momentum of the last few years."
