An exhibition at London's Southbank Centre is showcasing bizarre coffins, with designs including a skateboard, a guitar and a ballet slipper.

The exhibition, Boxed: Fabulous Coffins from UK and Ghana, runs at the Southbank Centre until 29 January, in conjunction with a three-day festival devoted to exploring death and how people deal with it.

The unusual designs have been created by the Nottingham company Crazy Coffins and the Ghana workshop of Paa Joe, which is located in the Akwapim Hills, northeast of the capital Accra.

Other eccentrically designed caskets on exhibit are shaped like a giant pineapple, a skip and a lion.
