Angelina Jolie has taken some time off from acting to work on her directorial debut, "In the Land of Blood and Honey," but the actress is reportedly ready to return in front of the cameras.

At the Berlin International Film Festival today for the screening of "In the Land of Blood and Honey," Angelina Jolie opened up about the next move in her career. "I haven't acted in two years, and I haven't done anything else since this ['Land of Blood and Honey']," said Jolie in an interview at the film festival. "The next thing I am looking at is a Disney movie."

So what may this Disney movie be? The Hollywood Reporter and gossip blog Perez Hilton believe that the film project could be "Maleficent." According to IMDB, the film is "the 'Sleeping Beauty' tale told from the perspective of the princess' evil nemesis, Maleficent." The IMDB page also lists Angelina Jolie as the lead role, Maleficent.

In an interview in December with The Hollywood Reporter, Angelina Jolie said her children were enthusiastic about her taking the role, even calling her "mom-elicent."

"The best thing to find that balance is to do something that is just for the children," said Jolie in Berlin on Saturday. "You know, you find different ways to make things matter. When, for example, you do fun action movies, they are empowering for my daughters."

Tim Burton had been attached to direct "Maleficent," but backed out last May. In recent weeks Robert Stromberg, the production designer of "Avatar," "Alice in Wonderland," and the upcoming Disney film "Oz the Great and Powerful," has been named as the new director. Stromberg has won two Oscars for his work.

According to IMDB, the movie has a 2015 release date, and The Hollywood Reporter is saying that filming could get under way by the end of 2012 or early 2013.
