iPad 3 rumours
Apple iPad 3 Release Date Slated for March 7; Quad-Core, 4G LTE Likely IB Times

Latest reports suggest that rumour mongers are speculating on the conspicuous presence of an improved camera alongside a revamped retina display in the most-anticipated gadget of the year - the iPad 3. Speculation has been spreading like wildfire for the last few days as restless fans look forward to the gadget.

The latest rumours from a Chinese website - Apple Daily, reveal an interesting tidbit - leaked photos depicting iPad 3 camera features. The website claims: Apple's new device will sport an 8 megapixel rear-camera and a 2048×1536 resolution Retina Display, besides a powerful A6 quad-core processor and 4G LTE connectivity.

A closer look at the leaked camera photos indicate the iPad 3 camera lens is a bit larger than the ones on iPad 2, confirming the changes with a much improved camera onboard the third generation iPad. Whether or not iPad 3 will feature an 8 megapixel camera, one can undoubtedly hope for a superior camera on it, considering the evidence with the images.

A leaked photo purportedly shows the rear panel of Apple's third generation iPad, hinting at a larger battery and some design changes such as an improved processor, superior display and a more powerful camera. The iPad 2 featured a poor 0.7 megapixel (960 x 720) primary camera and an equally awful secondary VGA camera.

No wonder then Apple is expected to make amends with an improved 8 megapixel camera alongside a retina display featuring double-resolution screen 2048×1536 pixels in dimension with modified IGZO (indium, gallium, zinc) technology. The new display technology is expected to provide an improved pixel density of 330 ppi, which is an impressive upgrade on iPad 2's display of 1024x768 pixels at a pixel density of 132 ppi.
