Meryl Streep Oscar Dresses: Her Red Carpet Looks Through the Years [PHOTOS]
Meryl Streep's Oscar dresses have always been glamorous, regal and simple.
Never over-the-top when it comes to the red carpet, the 62-year-old actress has stuck to solid colors (mostly) over the years: white (2010), grey (2009), purple (2006), black (2003) and so on.
Expect Streep's red carpet spectacle to be no different this year.
The actress is nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her role as former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in "The Iron Lady," against fellow nominees Glenn Close ("Albert Nobbs"), Viola Davis ("The Help"), Rooney Mara ("The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo") and Michelle Williams ("My Week With Marilyn").
Streep is also a presenter at the 84th Academy Awards, along with the previously announced Halle Berry, Angelina Jolie, Tom Hanks and the cast from "Bridesmaids."
Earlier this month, Streep attended the annual Oscars Luncheon in a black dress, complete with three-quarter length sleeves. At the BAFTAs, Streep picked up her best actress prize in a plunging Vivienne Westwood number -- also in black -- paired with a stylish updo and hoop earrings.
Currently, Streep holds the record for the most Academy Award nominations received by an actor, with 17. However, she has only won twice -- in 1979 for Best Supporting Actress in "Kramer vs. Kramer," and in 1982 for Best Actress in "Sophie's Choice."
What will Meryl Streep wear on Sunday? And will she win her third Oscar?
Tune in at 7 p.m. EST on ABC to find out, when the 84th Academy Awards, hosted by Billy Crystal, airs live from the theater formerly known as the Kodak.
