Belgian fashion designer, Dries Van Noten known for his creations by using various types of prints, colours, original fabrics and layering, presented his fall-winter ready-to-wear collection in Paris drawing his inspiration from the east.

The designer made use of rich historical Asian prints particularly from places like Japan, China and Korea. This includes designs like kimonos and dragon coats of various digital prints and shades.

Apart from this, there were also different forms of silk skirts, coats, blouses and jackets in a variety of combination patterns.

The designer mentioned that he particularly got his inspiration from the rich Asian vaults of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

The various creations in the museum were photographed and their unique prints and shapes were used to directly influence the creations.

The Washington Post reported that normally strict, structured clothing in Asia was endowed by Van Noten with floral shards of imperial yellow, turquoise and jade chinoiserie providing a flowing and sexy 1970s feel. The show also features lashings of fox and Suri Alpaca fur on collars and chubbies in some great ready-to-wear statement coats.

The 53-year old designer and founder of the eponymous fashion label of the same name, is known for his unique and sometimes "eccentric" creations. In 2005, the New York Times described him "one of fashion's most cerebral designers".

His creations are frequently adorned by celebrities like actress Cate Blanchett, Princess Mathilde of Belgium and actress Maggie Gyllenhaal.
